Hello there.. I was just wondering if anyone could help me out.. I am in Sweden right now, and I am going to Prague soon, but I would like to go to at least one more place in Europe (where doesn't matter) but I am very short of money (unusual, right? ^_^) Are there any cheap places anyone would recommend, preferably close to the Czech Republic or Sweden? I was thinking Poland could be interesting.. hmm.. thanks for any advice

Check out some hostels in Poland. From what I hear, Poland is dirt cheap! Good luck

krakow is one of my favorite cities. it's cheap, for now...until the euro kicks in. amazing place regardless. could've stayed there for weeks.

Poland won't be joining the Euro for quite a while yet, so I wouldn't worry. It is seriously cheap though - you can eat in a really good restaurant in the centre of Krakow for less than USD15. Imported luxury goods are extortionately expensive - after seeing the prices I went to look at a camera upgrade and they wanted close to 7000 Zloty for a Canon EOS300D.

Budapest is absolutely amazing. I'd actually go there over Poland, although Krakow is quite nice (also Auschwitz is near by and is definitely worth a visit). Only problem with Budapest is that the prices are starting to creep up, more so than in Poland.
