Hello Everyone, I'm getting really excited/nervous as I only have one more day left of work and then 2 weeks until I leave Australia, flying into the beautiful Rome. Can't wait and I had to let everyone know!!

16 days I think. Although I have to admit that things have been looking rather grim in the last week. The French authorities are determined to make my life a living nightmare! Still not fully resolved. I should know Monday what I have to do.

good luck getting that resolved! that would be very disheartening, to have a problem come up so close to your departure. - d 16 days I think. It is indeed very disheartening. In fact, it downright sucks! Specially since I've been so careful and meticulous in my planning. I've been planning since last October! It's all be unexpected and frustrating 'cause I wish people had been more upfront about everything!

It's very rare that governments or embassies are up front, except when they tell you to get the heck out, then it seems they have a way of saying very clearly! xoxo Jen

I'm happy to report that everything got resolved! ;D I will be taking copies of what the consulate/eduParis people said to me in paper -- just in case. And I won't be able to visit Mont Blanc or the small French towns near Geneva on this trip. BUT it's a small price to pay for the ability to retain my student visa and go to University in France! I have a whole year to see Chamonix/Mt. Blanc. Maybe I'll go back when I'm missing the snow!

I'm so glad you got that all sorted out - that could have been a serious wrench in your plans.
Now you can just go without having to worry about anything!
