So Ray, are you still going to be able to get online once you are in Prague?
Ginger (dustoffmom) and I were just discussing the fact that it's great having your help answering questions etc.
Plus, we'd all love to hear about your life from Prague! Maybe we could have another section on the message boards that would just be postings from you on how life is going over there, the ins and outs and that sort of thing.
Whadda ya say?
Kim

Hi Kim and Ginger,
I will definitely be able to get online over there. At first, I will be relying on Internet cafes, but I will be shipping a computer over there and will definitely have Internet access from home eventually. (Once I find an aprartment, that is ;D.)
I'd love to keep you posted on my experiences as an "expat." I am also working on a website where I will have a weblog and I will share that with you once it is ready.
Great job on this site. I am fairly new but I love the community here. I'd be more than happy to be a part of it!
Thanks, Ray

i've been told that dsl is about the same price as dial-up, in UK & Germany at least.
some of the internet cafés i visited in '99 had agonizingly slow modums! Good luck with this!

Hi David,
Thanks for the tip. I've done some research on Prague it seems that cable access is the best way to go. The only trick is to be sure the building you move into is wired for cable. I've been too spoiled, I can never go back to using a modem! ;D
Thanks, Ray
