I'm from the UK, and I'm around the same age as you (19).
Firstly when will you be going? If you're 18 then you're laughing. Youth Hostels, trains etc won't be a problem either. Age will only become a problem when you're after a job - what kind of things do you have in mind? Also, are you looking to stay in one place for a long period?
Generally, the most accessible seems to be restaurant/bar work. For bar work you'll probably need to be over 18, especially for resorts like Faliraki, Malia, San Antonio etc. Then again, you may get lucky and find someone who'll employ you. Restaurant work is easier, but it's harder work and the pay isn't great.

Im 18 in august so ill be getting work and getting some money behind me before i go but as for the type of work, id like to bar work or restaurant but i hear for places like amsterdam some youth hostles have jobs going within them such as serving breakfast or cleaning, as my sister did a bit of traveling before she became a rep. But hopefully somewhere south coast of spain, and if i go it may be for a few months as the season ends.

Your problem is that most places (bars etc) recruit for the full season, so it may be difficult. Also youth hostels literally pay nothing - you'll often get free accommodation for working for them. The main backpacker places on the Costa del Sol are Malaga and Granada (more inland), so it isn't great. There's also the more tourist orientated places though, such as Torremolinos etc - this would be your best hope.
Have you thought of getting a (better paid) job in the UK? That way you can earn some decent money before travelling, rather than earning as you go.

Well, iv applied for webdesign job which im waiting to hear back from but im not sure whether i want to work abroad fulltime, or travel. Although id proberly be best if i wanted to work abroad would be to find a travel company and get in at the start of the 2006 season. Just trying to see as id like to be out of this country from the end of summer to the beginning of December, which is proberly the worst time i could plan it for. But i feel in this country i only live for the weekend which i think is a big problem with alot of young people living in the uk, and id like to get out of this rutine.
