Of course! Leafs all the way. I'll be cheering for Vancouver 2nd, Edmonton 3rd and Ottawa 4th... gotta cheer for the Canadian teams! Besides that I don't really care for the rest.
Here's my picks for round 1...
Dallas over Edmonton - 6 games. Too much firepower, too big, too strong for the Oilers to handle, I'll still be cheering for the Oilers though. Lets hope Marty Turco gets the playoff jitters as a rookie playoff goaltender.
Detroit over Anahiem - 5 games Yes, I'm being nice giving the Ducks a game. Kariya and Rucchin may squeak out a win now that Stumpy is in Anahiem and brings them some grit, but Detroit is way too strong. Anahiem is totally out of their league here. It should be fun to watch though, look for some end to end late 80's style hockey from Detroit.
Colorado over Minnesota - 5 games League MVP Forsberg, 50 goal scorer Hejduk, Joe Sakic and Roy between the pipes... Really, why even play this series. Marion Gaborik is the only offensive threat for Minnesota, and their only hope is having Dwayne Roloson and Manny Fernandez between the pipes.
Vancouver over St. Louis - 7 games Naslund, Bertuzzi and Morrisson will have to carry the load it looks like, and hopefully Danny Cloutier is healthy enough. Pronger isn't %100 but the Blues have balanced firepower up front. I think the deciding factor in this series will be how well Chris Osgood plays.
Ottawa over NY Islanders - 6 games Yes, NY has already won the first game, but gimme a break. Ottawa has way too much offense, Garth Snow's equipment will only hold the isles in for so long. Lalime didn't have a great game either. Look for Ottawa to come back strong in game 2.
New Jersey over Boston - 5 games If New Jersey scores first, the Bruins will be finished 8 out of 10 games. The nuetral zone trap should be renamed the New Jersey Devils trap. I liked how Gord Miller of TSN put it, the Devils take a sheet of ice and turn it into a sheet of mud. Should be some slow and boring games.
Washington over Tampa Bay - 6 games Tampa has a young team and I think it will show in this series. Washington has the experience with Jagr, Bondra, Lang and Kolzig. Biggest obstacle for Washington should be Nikolai Khabiboulin.
Toronto over Philadelphia - 6 games Well game one is done and my buddy Alex put three in the net already! Toronto had an absolutely pathetic 2nd period yes, but they won the game and that's what counts. If they win the second game in philly, the flyers will be in big trouble. Cechmanek is back to his usual playoff routine, playing very shaky in the net. This should be one of the best series in the first round along with Vancouver and St. Louis. Key for Toronto will be to stay out of the penalty box and score a few powerplay goals.
There's the predictions for round one. If anyone want's to pick teams just for fun we can keep a record for everyone and see who's picks end up the best each round.

OK, here's what we think (the man of the house dictated to me our choices! ;D) Edmonton over Dallas - 7 games. (hello, this is our house! ) The Oilers are my favorite team, so I'm a little bit biased. If Salo plays like he can, Edmonton has a good shot. Turco is still unproven and Guerin being injured will be a bonus for the first two games at least. Detroit over Anaheim - 5 gamesAnaheim has one line that is very dangerous and probably a hotter goaltender right now but Detroit is far too experience and far deeper. Colorado over Minnesota - 6 gamesAs long as Patrick Roy stays awake, they'll be fine. Again, Colorado is far too deep to lose to Minnesota. St. Louis over Vancouver - 7 gamesChris Osgood has two Stanley Cups and tons of playoff experience. Cloutier has neither. St. Louis's defence is bigger and their forwards are heavily underrated, although they have nobody to match up with the Canucks first line. Ottawa over NY Islanders - 7 gamesOttawa has great forwards and a good defence line. Ottawa still has to prove that they can play tough enough to win in the playoffs. Lalime is still a worry but fortunately Snow is worse. New Jersey over Boston - 6 gamesBostons big line could make it interesting, especially with Samsonov back. New Jersey is too good defensively and Brodeur has proven time and time again that he is a winner. Hackett and Sheilds don't even compare. Tampa Bay over Washington - 6 gamesGoaltending is about even and on paper the forwards are better in Washington but you never know what Washington is going to do in the playoffs. Richards and Lecavalier will be happy to be in the playoffs for the first time. Toronto over Philadelphia - 7 gamesEveryone keeps saying how good Cechmanek is but he has never proven himself in the playoffs and this year will be no different. Belfour has alot of playoff experience and a cup ring. Toronto has injury problems but they are still too stacked to lose to Philadelphia. Kim (and man of the house!)

Who would have thought that the Ducks would do away with the almighty Red Wings in FOUR GAMES! I've always considered the "MIGHTY DUCKS" a big joke in the NHL thanks to their location and ownership, but it looks like they've finally got something going. Their aquisitions of Adam Oates and now Steve Thomas look pretty good right about now! I'm just glad to see Detroit gone as I'm sure a lot of people are ;D

Yeah, great game too. Loved seeing Naslund put one away, and it looks like Osgoode is hurt. A big win in St. Louis and who knows what could happen!
