Well today marks my 3 weeks till i fly to europe for my 2 month adventure. Well last night i had a dream about it that was so real.. one of those really visual dreams where u can't tell if u are really living it or just making it up in your head.. Well i dreamed i arrived in rome and i met up with this guy that said he would bring my bag to my hostel for me and i could go check out the sites right off.. well i gave him my bag stupidly and went walking.. then i flipped cause i couldn't find the "Chilli's resturant" he told me that my hostel is next too.. So i went into this one resturant and this couple looked at me and knew i was just scammed by the same guy they were scammed by 6 years ago. So they gave me this pamphlet on how to get my stuff back and where to go.. Because my bag had my passport and all sorts of other important documents in it.. As they gave me the pamphlet i woke up.. So i think the moral of the story is.. Don't give anyone your bag in your europe.. and don't even think about giving your bag to anyone in europe.. See what you people did to me on this list now i am dreaming up scenarios that could happen.. well just thought i would ramble for a bit! Can't wait to leave!! cheers -gary ;D

I had a simiarly weird dream not last night but the night before (when 49 robbers came to my door, hardy har har). One of those extremely vivid and realistic dreams where you swear that it's happenening and when you wake up it takes you a few minutes to realize that things are actually okay. The background is that I'm leaving on May 31 for London to do a Contiki tour that departs on June 3. Contiki advertises "comfortable air conditioned coaches", among other things. The dream started out on the bus on the way to one of the cities (I think it was Prague, although we're not even going to Prague) and there was a very large problem that I was having with the bus. The purported "comfortable air conditioned coach" was in fact a full on yellow Bluebird school bus. Full length, those windows that go half way down, uncomfortable seats, no shocks...man was I annoyed. It was so bumpy and uncomfortable. Then, we arrived in Prague and we were walking as a group up towards the accomodations and I was walking with an unidentified friend of mine. I suddenly turned to her and said "Wait a minute, why don't I have my backpack...oh my god, I forgot to bring it! I didn't even pack it, it's still at home on my floor! OH NO!" I got into a huge panic and hopped in my car (not sure what my car was doing in Prague...but I don't question these things) and tried to find the nearest place that I could phone home to my brother or my girlfriend to get them to send me my backpack. The traffic was terrible and I was totally flipping out. I woke up and had a huge headache because I had slept so poorly. WhenI got up in the morning, I told my girlfriend about it and asked her to make sure that I don't forget my backpack. She assured me that I won't as it's really my only piece of luggage. She then told me that I should leave my car at home...because shipping's a bitch. She also told me that I woke her up in the middle of the night saying "no no! we can't, we have to stop!" and various other mumblings. I know it's not a sign of things to come because my trip will be great, but wow, what a crappy night that was!

Good old anxiety dreams.. gotta love 'em! I had them too... they went away the minute I was in Europe. I think it's just that anticipation before you leave thing.
