I'm borrowing/lifting a topic Kahunna posted on another board (BTW...if you've not checked out his personal site, you really should! Kim has it linked here)
Anyway, I thought it was interesting enough to copy and post here....so with credit to the big K for the idea, here goes:
If you could hop a plane and travel to any European city, at any point in history, where would you go?
I listed 4, but for here I will name one of them......St. Petersburg during the heyday of Peter the Great.....
How about you?

Hmm... I think being in England around 1100 would be kind of neat, see all the crazy stuff they did back then. Can I bring a 'boom stick' a la Bruce Campbell?
I think I've actually done the 'medieval experience' though... ever hear of Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament ;D haha! That was great fun.

If it were up to me, I'd go to any western european country during the Renaissance. Of course I'd like to be part of the "bourgeoisie" and have those big poofy dresses and jewelry. Who knows...maybe a princess or something! What about the rest of you? xoxo Jen

Isaac Asimov wrote something like this (very rough paraphrase). His hostess at a party said, "Wouldn't it be nice to live in a time where everyone had servants?" IA answered, "No, because then we'd be the servants!" Your specification of wanting something like princess status reminded me of that, Jennifer
