Since I've noticed other reality shows being discussed here, I thought I'd see who has been watching the Real World in Paris? The latest episode was really relative to this web site as the cast was given a vacation...though I don't know what from...to backpack via train to either 4 or 5 cities in only 8 days. Well it was pretty funny watching these people lug these huge looking backpacks around, a couple looked like they had put a big steamer trunk in their pack. It seems like they should have checked out this website beforehand.

Sounds intriguing! Is this a French program being shown in Paris....or was this episode shot in Paris and it's a US or Canadian show? I've not heard of it.

Its a US show on MTV that takes around 7 younger people usually 18 to 25 and sticks them in a house for 7 or 9 months and films them living together. Usually its mostly in US cities from the past seasons I can recall. Usually they run the new episodes on Tuesdays at 10 est I think anyway.

Yes, it is MTV's Real World in Paris. I made the effort to watch it in a regualr basis just becuase it takes place in Paris, but after the first 5 episodes I lost interests.
The cast (6 americans 1 irish) lives in a beautyful chateu in Paris and they work for Fodders (sp?) or something like that and they are supposed to go out and about Paris and take notes about clubs, attractions, restaurnates etc. for a youth (college age) oriented Paris guide.
Being MTV, they focus more in the interpersonal dynamics and drama than anything else. And that is why I lost interest in the show.
My two cents

STA Travel has developed a tour that will mimic the route they used.....and actually it's a fairly decent price. Never saw the show, but they did have a good route. info here: www.msnbc.com/news/967635.asp
