as in Jaime and Claire......Outlander series?
I got her newest book on Friday, Lord John and the Private Matter. Another good read from her. And enough 'side' story to just whet the appetite for the next installment of the BIG storyline.
I like that she is taking one of the more interesting minor characters and building a seperate story around them. If you like her other work, you will likely enjoy this as well.

Oh my lord, definately ME. I love the Outlander books. I was disappointed with her last book though.
She is doing a book reading and signing on the 19th here and I am ALL over that.
I remember my aunt lent me the first book and I was skeptical, thinking this is so not the kind of book I enjoy. Then I got hooked!!

>>>>>She is doing a book reading and signing on the 19th here and I am ALL over that.<<<< OH MY GOODNESS! I would feel like some teenage groupie at a chance to see her read some of her work! Funny...as much as we chat I had no idea you were a fan too. ;D Those books are what started my whole first big trip....I just had to see Scotland for myself....and did but never did find Jaime anywhere.

So I'm totally disappointed - you know how I said Diana Gabaldon was coming to Chapters? They posted info now - it's being hosted by Chapters but held at the music conservatory (which is across the street from my house!) but they are charging $7 a ticket!
What the hell!
And I'm sure you have to line up outside for seats - that's what you had to do when I went to see Rick Steves speak there (handy being across the street!) and right now we are having terrible weather.
Undecided if I want to go - I think it's kind of a rip off honestly, considering she is supposed to be promoting the book. You have to pay $7 to hear her promote the damn thing!
