.....starts next week if the promos are to be believed, and newest Survivor follows the Super Bowl end of this month! Horray! Both of this boards favorite non-travel topics will apparently be running at the same time. ;D

Talking about reality tv, for those who watched both seasons, aren't you disappointed of the new average joe that's playing?
I find the girl quite superficial, well she's ok, but I really like the past girl so...
what do you think about it?

I think those girls on average jo are offal people... I understand looks do count for something but as soon as the models come in there totally changing tune. And off they go with the hotties and they leave the extremely nice guys out. It's sad cause those nice guys would totally treat any girl like gold.

I agree with ya....have never watched any of them for exactly the reson you say. Just the promos told me all I needed to know about it......really shallow girls looking for a stud and to hell with anything else..as long as he looks good. Yuck....better things to do with my time. Scooter girl really scared me! What a wacko.
I thought the military girl was pretty good actually (you know, the one that was the worst cook, target shooter etc.). I'm surprised they didn't like her.
Unchained melody guy had an outstanding voice but personality wise didn't really intrigue me.
We were cracking up at some of them - how can you seriously think you sound good?

well...week 1 my votes went for Diana and Katie....although the judges seemed to 'crown' Fantasia I thought she had a really nasal-y voice.  3rd would likely be Matthew...but I just really like the song he chose.  |

I totally agree. While I didn't mind Fantasia, I really liked Diana and Katie. Crap, I can't believe Diana is 16 - my god. Both had incredible confidence and stage presence.
None of the guys really blew me away.
It was a good group though, overall.

I'm in total agreement with Kim and Dustoffmom about Katie and Diana..... And I was surprised to hear what the judges said about Fantasia.... I liked her the least out of everyone... But pretty much everyone else in the group I enjoyed...

I have to agree! He wasn't AS bad as the others in the group, but I definitely thought Lisa was much better than he was.... I didn't care much for anyone in the group...
