My bit of good news!

I really like Victoria. There are lots of interesting cultural things and UVic is a lovely campus. And you'll no doubt get the chance (or should take the chance!) to visit Vancouver now and then. If you do, I think the HI Hostel in the West End (on Burnaby Street) has a very nice location (although the downtown one is more conveniently located, but the surrounding area isn't as nice). There are also some Vancouver hostels that smell like pothead havens, so I'd do some research first .

Yeah I'm actually really happy with the place and everyone keeps on saying what a great area it is and everything!

I'm especially happy because I heard that the other place I almost took (an apartment in Cadboro Bay) burnt down or something a couple of days ago.

Kim, that sounds really good about the suite. It's certainly something to consider - let me know when you get the place!

As for the time being I have to try to figure out how I'm going to buy Ikea furniture with no Ikea in Victoria. Trying to figure out whether shipping from Vanc. or going over there with a rented truck is a better option.
