Hooray for you! And tickets are way cheaper from NYC.....I regularly see flights to London in the $300-350 range and have seen them a time or two in the $250 range.

oh for such cheap air travel!!
I'm looking at mimimum $2000 (aus) for my flight to Europe.....unless I want to go Dodgey-Brother Airlines and take the route through Taiwan or somewhere and spend 45 hours travelling.....
Because I have absolutely no idea, how long is the flight from NYC to London?

It's a bit misleading because flights from NYC do not go as far north as flights leaving from the west coast which can take an almost-polar route. I just checked and nonstop flights for EWR (Newark)-LHR (Heathrow) are 6:45 on the outbound, and 7:30 on the return.
From YVR we go over Greenland and Iceland, and our outbound to LHR takes about 9:30 and the return a little longer.
