hello from brooklyn's greenpoint neighborhood! just a quick update on my recent move. greenpoint was originally irish, but now is a predominately polish community. i've never been to poland, but i feel like i'm there - almost all the stores that line our main block are polish businesses and the local Catholic church - St. Stanislaus Kotska has every other mass in Polish. my landlord/business owner is polish...etc. etc. it's quite a unique experience, especially since i come from a suburb of san francisco and the bay area doesn't really have a Polish ethnic enclave. so i raise my mug of polish beer to all of you...cheers!
