Trying to insert chart.....don't have great luck with that so hopefully at least the link will work. ;D Well I'll be darned...it worked! I live right on the 'H' for Monday morning! Is this summer never going to be over for Florida? We've mostly lucked out here with Bonny, Charley, Ivan, et al......makes one wonder just how longer they will take that 'last minute jog' and somehow miss us? Yikes! well...chart updated here as well as on the NOAA homepage...now I live at the top of the 'dash' inbetween Sunday and Monday markers.

Ack! Good luck with it. I'm sure I would be just about at the end of my tether after the tenth storm or so this season.

Todays update has it sitting prettily right on me at 2am Monday. And I've yet to be able to get the french doors replaced that failed so horridly in the last one. So I can expect to splash across my living room once again. I am way down the list for installation....no one wants to install french doors when whole roofs are gone. You may have lost your chance at a cheap Florida vacation Kim.......I've about had it with this crap. My son is after me to move to Atlanta. It's looking much better to me these days.

Well, it's here. I am stunned that I still have power...but 50k in JAX don't as of now so I assume mine will be going shortly. Wind gusts of 60-70 mph and the rain is horizontal. The rest of my neighbors adjoining fence is already down, looks like my big maple tree has lost at least half of it's leaves and I swear is bending in half it looks like. And this is a big tree. Back door once more leaking like a sieve and carpet rapidly attaining pool status. At least this time I knew to expect it so moved most stuff out of harms way. As long as I have power I am fine...it's when it's dark that I can get spooked. They say 10-12 hours of this and then it should be gone. Keeping fingers crossed. Have had half dozen or so tornados in the area in the past 90 minutes and they have basically just put out a non stop tornado warning for now. I'm not liking this much.

Well, well....no desire to go through that again. Still 'gusty' winds this evening, gusty as per normal but nothing like last night or this morning. Fence down all around my yard, LR carpet again a small pool and a dozen or so shingles gone. I count myself lucky indeed. Power was off o'night, but back on here by 0430 or so. Many parts of town still have none. My big maple started bending towards the house yesterday evening as the winds changed and was 'whacking' against the roof and side wall. Totally freaked me out I have to say! Took a good half hour to discover what that loud noise was I kept hearing! Again, I have minimal damage overall and thank my lucky stars for that result. But let me say....this is no fun! Should I ever find myself in the path again, on the road I will be. It's frightening!

Ging, glad to hear you only had minimal problems! HOPEFULLY, that's the end of Hurricanes for now! Have you managed to get your French Doors repaired yet?
Good luck!

Thanks Eagle.....nope, doors still not replaced. I am probably looking at another week or two before my number on the installation list comes up. And I do understand....my doors are small compared to folks who have lost most of the roof! As long as yet another storm does not rear it's head it will be fine till then. Sheesh! My poor tree looks so sad....no big branches lost thankfully but it is so bedraggaled looking. I'm not kidding when I say it lost probably half of it's leaves.

I hope this is it! When does hurricane season supposed to end? It seems pretty unusual to get this far down the alphabet.

Officially it ends at the end of November!! Last year, or was it the year before, we got to 'L' storm....but most all of them just dissapated in the Atlantic. Hopefully that is what will happen to any more that may spring up in the next 2 months.
