I'm planning a month long trip to greece in May, I want to travel comfortably while I'm there and go shopping too. Would 3000 Canadian be enough? Thanx! Aimee.

Does CAN$3000 include airfare?
At the moment you have roughly €2180, so €73 a day. Now, I don't know your definition of comfortable, but you'd be able to get a decent trip for that kind of budget. Think small pensions, hostels etc in terms of accommodation though.
In terms of shopping, I've no idea what you'd spend. Bearing in mind that €50 a day is considered a rock low budget, I'm not sure if you'd really be able to afford that much stuff.
Of course, if this figure doesn't include airfare then we're playing a whole different ball game.

If you are out in the islands, you can stay really cheaply, but if you want to shop and have money for good food, a few beers, ferry tickets, to take some tours, rent a scooter or car to drive around (which is really the way to go by the way if you want to get out and explore), I would try to aim more for 100euro/day to be on the safe side & then if you don't spend that much, great.
On Naxos and Santorini, I paid 30 & 35euros a night (respectively) for a double room, so split between two of us, it was only 15euros each/nt... woo hoo!

Hi
To the poster above,
which hostels did you stay at in Santorini?
Do you have any links?
Thank you, ALEX
