I LIVE!!!!
Just got power back, so I'm posting here first thing! ;D
Got to my parents, they had power but no internet connection. Then they atsrted driving me crazy, so I came home! Anyway, yes, my apartment on the 11th floor started to flood. It does that when it's raining and wind is coming from the south. I've got some pictures of my little dam and the end of the hurricane, so when I find my camera again I'll post them. Anyway, I'm fine, nothing blew up and nothing was damaged! I just got lucky with the power, some parts of Broward are reportedly not going to have power until Thanksgiving! Be back later with pics!

I found my camera whlie cleaning, so I have pictures!  This was the dam that I built to stave off the flood. ANYTHING that would absorb water was down there!  This was taken the SAME day the Hurricane struck. Gorgeous day, isn't it?  This is what's left of the play area for the school in my building. The fence still isn't fixed (hell, school still isn't in session, it's been a week!)  Downtown Hollywood, where I live. The place is NAKED without it's trees!  My car and the branch that barely missed it! Thank god! |
