And so...I am over packed! Not overweight...not at all. I can follow easily my own guidelines, can pick it up off the floor and put it on, can lift it over my head. But I am totally out of room and don't yet have many things (such as any toiletries at all) safely tucked inside. Winter clothes are just too bulky no matter how you roll or squish them. I've already removed 2 tees, 2 sweaters and 1 pair of pants, as well as an extra set of gloves and mufflers. And I say again....I am NOT over weight, just out of room.
Regardless....I have a couple of hours in the morning to work on it some more.....and then off to the airport. Compared to the first 'long' trip I took this is nothing. First aid, medications, OTC stuff....gone. I am well aware now that nearly anything I might need I can easily buy there so why carry it around 'just in case'? Right now it seems that my main pack will be most manageable weight wise but it seems my 'day' pack/carry on is going to be enormous!
Since I am going to be gone, let me wish you all 'happy holidays'....no matter which ones you celebrate. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentine's day.....and all in between. I should be back by St. Pat's to offer well wishes in person!
Tomorrow I leave for London, arrive Tuesday, leave on Friday morning for my most disliked city, Brussels...but only to catch a train to 'any' German city and from there I frankly have no idea. Flying totally by the seat of my pants and the next train due to leave the station.
Doug has the link to my blog and will most likely post it...if you'd like notification when I post email me at gmail and I will add you to the notification list.
You all play nice.....take care....great planning and better trips!
and so, I am off again,
