It's after the holidays but it seems the party continues for me. I have to go to a b-day party for this person whom I barely know but I am obligated, it's a fancy party too. I really don't mind since I'm sure there will be lots of dancing and I love that. I am also going to the victoria's secret sale this saturday, I must stock up on underwear!! So... what are you up to?

VS, always wanted to see one of those! Well, this week-end, nothing particular. BUt I just came home from my first date since i'm single. My first "official" date in like 4 years actually. Blind date. Ok, a guy from an internet dating site. Not the best but I never meet anyone anywhere else, so why not! It went so great I drank too much coffee though hehehe I can't sleep! I'm all happy, even if it doesn't turn out. I got my groove back How Jen got her groove back New movie

Hey Jennifer, is this the first time you've done that? I've heard from a few people both good and bad experiences from meeting people on the net like that. Although it may seem a little different, I guess I don't really see how it's much different then meeting someone in a bar or a club.

i've always sort of wondered about that too... kinda creeps me out using those dating sites... how safe is it really?

well, this is my opinion. If i'm on the site, and i'm normal, and i'm not dangerous, some guys are on there that are normal and not dangerous. It's not any safer to meet him at the grocery store or bar! I went for a coffee in a public place on my own, met him there, have his phone number, etc... So. I mean, what is really different? A lot of people have negative thoughts about it, but it's hard to meet people and i think it's a way like any other, but I also respect those who don't like it. About 2 years ago I went on 2 dates from a website. Both were really great. Didn't work out at all with the first guy, but it was my first sushi tasting So good experience afterall! Then, the second one was with a guy that I laughed so much. There weren't any romantic sparks but we had so much fun that we became great friends. There was always "something" weird between us, but we never acted on it. On Halloween, we fell for it. I will never regret being his friend. What I will regret is the fact that once something happens with a friend, it's not so much a friendship anymore... so make sure there is really feelings before you do what is supposed to come with feelings, cause if there aren't, you may be disappointed! All this to say that I have been more disappointed after 2 years of knowing someone than after a blind date So, try it

I won't be doing anything too exciting this weekend -- just sitting on the couch resting my injured leg. However, at least I'll have a chance to enjoy uninterrupted viewing of one of my favourite Italian TV programs on Saturday, C`e Posta per Te (all 3-4 hours!). Saturday is also a good night for British TV programs -- Heartbeat and A Touch of Frost.
Jennifer, glad to hear that the Internet Dating is working out. You've got more courage than I have! I haven't dated in a LONG time -- what a terrifying prospect!
Hope everyone has a great time this weekend, whatever you decide to do.
Cheers!!!
