Hi, I'm wondering if anyone is in Vintimille, Italy, close to the French border, is planning to go there or know someone who is? The thing is, I was there a few months ago, they have a big market on Fridays, and I found a sort of hat that I fell in love with and bought! Unfortunately, I've now lost it, and am trying to find ways to get a new one... Probably sounds a bit weird, but I really liked it  So I was just thinking if I could find someone who's going there anyway, I could pay for the hat and mail cost and so, if they would find it... It's worth a shot! /Karin |

Karin, just wondering if "Vintimille" is the same as "Ventimiglia" (close to Monaco & Nice)  BTW it is possible to post photos here. If you register on the Board, send a digital photo to Kim and it will appear in the "Photos of Us" section. If you have a photo of yourself wearing the Hat, that would be ideal! Cheers!!!

Yes, Ventimiglia should be the same, to "my" Vintimille it takes about 50 minutes by train from Nice, and you pass Monaco, so that sounds likely! Okey, I'll post the photo! So, are you going to Ventimiglia anytime soon? |

Karin, if my plans work out, I'll be in the area in the fall (Cinque Terre), although I hadn't planned on stopping in Ventimiglia. I'll have to give that some thought? Have you got a photo of yourself wearing the Hat? It must be some Hat to go to so much trouble to replace it.
BTW, have you thought of registering on the Board. We're a friendly group here!

Eagle: I've tried posting the picture here, but don't know what's happened, but otherwise you can go to hultan.picsfolio.com/photo.html?p=248&album=Vintimille%2C+11%2F11 to see it I've just gotten obsessed with the idea of getting a new one, although I cannot even be sure that they still have it, since it's at a market... we drove through there on the way to (or was it from?) Stockholm many years ago, as i recall. University town, no?

David: Yeah, Linköping is a university town, I live there now but probably just until summer... And you probably past it to or from Stockholm, depending on which way you were going... You're not, by any chance, passing Vintimille/Vintimiglia any time soon? |

no plans for a Europe trip at this time. Vintimille/Vintimiglia is in France, no? as an American, i doubt if i'll be going there anytime soon. - d You're not, by any chance, passing Vintimille/Vintimiglia any time soon? |

Karin, I have to admit, that's a very distinctive Hat!!! Was it made of Corduroy material?
With regard to posting photos, I believe you have to be a member on the Board. Send the photo to Kim or Dustoffmom and they will add it to the "Pictures of Us" section.
Good luck in finding another Hat. Too bad you couldn't remember where you lost it?

ok everyone, you can calm down now. I got (took...) a hat from one of my friends which is almost like the one i lost! A lighter colour, but otherwise pretty much the same! So there is no need to try and fit a trip to Vintimille into your travelplans, haha. Thanks anyway!  |
