Hi, I'm planning to go to Europe with a friend during the month of May. We're planning to hit cities in most of Western Europe (London, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Interlaken, Berlin, Amsterdam ) and some other big ones. We've planned out our route and now we're discussing hostels. I'm wondering what's best, to book all the hostels ahead of time or to just go with an itinerary but nothing booked. I'm willing to do either. I was wondering if anyone's done the "no reservation" thing and how did it turn out. How many times did you have to sleep out on the street Also, how much time do you lose trying to find a place to stay or is it easy to locate hostels? Finally, did not reserving anything radically change your plans or were you able to stick to most of your itinerary. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
