yup! one of my fave places in the world. I try to go every year and I never come back dissappointed. I'm so into riding the new rides everest and soarin' , i've heard great things about them. I will prolly stay at a disney value resort just so I can have the extra hours and ride them multiple times ;D It will prolly be one of the last trips I take for a while since I will not be having money for any trips in the short term. I'm getting ready to do the closing on an apt I bought. the costs of everything is overwhelming, I just learned the other day that the apt has no floors so i have to put my own, add more thousands of dollars to everything But i'm very excited nonetheless.

Stanncie, the apartment doesn't have floors??? Or do you mean "flooring", such as carpets or lino? Market conditions must be different there, as I believe apartments and condo's in this area are pretty well "finished" at the time of sale (if not "finished", this would probably be a "subject to" clause in the sales agreement).
BTW, my first Physio appointment wasn't too bad. There's only about 60-degrees range of motion so far, so this is going to be a LONG process! The Therapist says this is only the second injury of this type she's seen in 20 years. I have "exercises" to do at home, and next appointment on the 28th.
Have fun at Disney World and good luck with the new apartment! "There's no place like home"!

eagle: just I meant flooring, my english is not always the best, in fact , i don't think i speak any language really well lol! It did state in my contract that there was no flooring, but I thought i could just leave it like that at time of closing and choose to put flooring later. But, I obviously didn't read the part where it said you HAD to put something in right away. I'm glad you are already starting physio, are you ready for the torture? I hope you get a nice therapist. 60 degrees of flexion is not much but not uncommon after many knee injuries. Make sure you do all your exercises because we can always tell when you haven't done them. rchua: yes, i'll be going to your neck of the woods, i love visiting the parks!

Stanncie, it seems odd that the seller would have a clause in the sales contract mandating that flooring be installed immediately? If flooring was so important to them, they should have darn well installed the stuff!!! I can appreciate that each buyer has different decorating tastes, but from what I've heard in this area this is negotiated prior to completion. The seller arranges the contractor to install something that matches the buyers wishes. Good luck with that!
This doesn't sound good!!! The first session was a bit uncomfortable and painful, but not too bad. The Therapist that I had was nice, but she's apparently not the one that was assigned to my case - the other girl was "sick" that day, but I will hopefully meet her on my next appointment. I have been doing my exercises faithfully!
BTW, you picked a good line of work (great job security)! Headlines from our local paper this morning (I'll just list a few excerpts):
- "SHORTAGE STRIKES CITY AT THE KNEES" - "The shortage of skilled Physiotherapists across the Province has added up to a large headache for the Interior Health Authority". - ".....there are four positions available but recruiting for the openings has proven to be a challenge. She said Interior Health competes with the Lower Mainland but can't offer permanent positions to attract more therapists."
I gather these are "casual" positions based in the Hospital, so it's hard to attract people to move for this type of employment? The funding for the jobs has a time limit, so unless they can find permanent funding to hire full time positions, I suppose the shortage will continue. There seems to be lots of therapists working in private clinics here, so maybe they should "think creatively" and hire some of them on a part-time basis?
Though you might be interested?

yes eagle the whole thing with the floor is very strange indeed. I have an appointment this saturday to choose my flooring and they will put it or I could have my own contractor put it in. I guess I will have them do it if they difference is not too much. As far as your rehab, don't be scared. Of course it will be painful and uncomfortable but it won't be that bad and you will prolly leave stronger than before you had your injury. the shortage of therapists is pretty much everywhere. i get job offers every month, even in the mail. I have no idea where they get my address. I've even gotten calls at my own home. It is a very nice position to be in cuz you can pick and choose who you want to work for and demand more benefits and money. I really do like home health though. It's very flexible, it pays the most and you don't have anyone over your shoulders telling you what to do. It does get lonely and you have no colleagues to discuss cases and such but that's not too bad. good luck on your rehab and keep me posted!

Stanncie,
I hope you're right! The Surgeon didn't seem to have much confidence in that, given my age. As long as it's strong enough to Backpack and function reasonably normally (without any re-injury!), I'll be happy!
I'll keep you posted (I've been doing my exercises faithfully!).
