Awwwwwwww..............I just read this! Thank you SOOO much everyone!!! You'll be happy to know all is well in my world. Still out in Victoria for law school (finishing my last semester). I've also met someone (started seeing him early in the summer) and have fallen hopelessly in love so I'll be staying around these parts. So law school keeps me busy.........I hope to be articling soon (know of anyone looking Kim?) and writing the bar exam. Which means there likely won't be any traveling to Europe for me for a while. But I dream - oh boy do I dream! How are the rest of you? CT

CT, what a treat to hear from you!!! I thought you'd forgetten about us. Glad to hear that everything is going well for you, both with school and your "personal" life. Is your "someone" also in Law school???
I'm not thoroughly famililar with the articling process. Is it necessary this be done in Victoria?
BTW, I was in Victoria last week to visit my Son and daughter-in-law. It was a short visit and conditions were still a bit icy on the roads so I didn't do a lot of sightseeing. I've been trying for years to convince the rental car agencies that they NEED to equip their vehicles with tires that are appropriate for road conditions and NOT all-season radials. No doubt the renter is stuck with whatever tires they provide when they sign the rental agreement, but I suspect that a law suit could still result (especially if someone is injured as a result of the inadequate tires).
I'm sure I'll be back to Victoria at some point. It's only about a 50 minute flight from Kelowna, so not a difficult trip to make (however, I'm not planning to EVER do the trip by road and Ferry, as that would be about 10-12 hours- not fun!).
Now that you're going to be a permanent resident of the beautiful west coast, you might have to consider a name change - how does "Curious Victoria" sound?
Cheers!!!

CT! Great to hear you're still around occasionally, although I can understand the exams, papers, etc keeping you busy. Nice to hear you have someone to get squishy about too.
I'm hearing you on the Europe thing - sit the bar, score a great job and take your paramour to show him your Europe!
Haven't been in Canada since October 2005, and that was only to Toronto, and not likely to get back there for a while so Eagle you'll have to keep up the trek. Glad all is well though!

LOL - the one I get squishy about is not in law school but he is a student as well. He'll be finishing in December of this year. Our future will hopefully include lots of work related travel. (He's got the bug too - has lived/worked in both Venezuela and Japan teaching English) I don't have to do my articling bit in Victoria - but I want too! What can I say - this little piece of paradise got to me too!!! And I haven't forgotten about you guys - not at all. Just no Europe travels to talk about. And frankly last semester was crazy - had some landlord drama (had to move out under horrible circumstances and got sued by them for 8k) and I was doing a criminal term. So in between my clients and my "someone" I didn't have much free time. Trust me - I would never forget about you guys!!! CT
