Well, I find these boards really quiet, so I'm trying to find a subject!
any of you have watch the recent amazing race? What did you think?

It's one of my favourite shows. If you're referring to TAR10, I'm rooting for the Beauty Queens (got to go for the F/F teams!) and the oh-so-hot Tyler/James duo!
P.S. Phil = best reality TV show host!

jennifer, I agree, the Boards are REALLY quiet these days! Everyone must be travelling or something? Perhaps everyone is focussed on getting ready for Christmas.
Regarding the TV shows, I don't watch Amazing Race too often, as it conflicts with some of my other favourites. However, had an enjoyable four hours watching PBS last night, as the Seattle station was airing the Rick Steves European Christmas special. That was followed by a Rick Steves European marathon featuring several of his new shows which were filmed (in HD!) in 2006 (Naples & area, Amalfi coast and Tuscany). It was awesome! I've now got some new destinations to add to my next Itinerary.
I'm looking forward to seeing his 2006 "Italian Hill Towns" show, as I visited Orvieto and Civita di Bagnoregio in September and I'm anxious to see his presentation on those areas. I was a bit disappointed in the "Milan and Lake Como" episode, as I felt there should have been more coverage of Lake Como and less on Milan. I also noticed that part of the new James Bond movie, "Casino Royale" was filmed at Lago di Como (appears to be the Mennagio area but it's hard to tell?).

Ahhhh, you guys suck for getting Rick Steves. I have PBS but they don't air his shows because the TV station affilated with the channel doesn't carry his show. I think I have the WPBS Watertown station so it sucks.
I'm kind of glad they moved TAR to Sunday Nights because it allows me to watch my other favourite shows on Tuesday.

Yeah I don't get it either and I seem to never be near a tv on sunday nights to watch TAR... Sad, but the little i've watched I liked  |

Good year for Amazing Race, but not my favorite.
I get down to Rick Steves shop in Edmonds, WA now and again, as I too Eagle am a Pacific Northwester.
Was in New Zeland this past summer, and Phil the host had been Bungy Jumping at the place I did it. They had pictures of him doing it.
As I returned to the states at the San Jose airport I ran into the hippies from last year BJ and Tyler who won last year's race they were awesomely cool guys!
