Hi everyone,
This isn't travel related but I like to think of us as a little family here and that we share our news with each other.
So here goes
GFE will be getting a new board member in November when a little mini crystal puts in an appearence. Yes folks I have just had a 12wk ultrasound and the throwing up, tiredness, moods and emotions aren't a figment of my imagination there is a baby on the way!!!
I guess there will be no mad rushing around europe this year but was it John Lennon that said life is what happens when you are sitting around making plans - or something like that.

How exciting, Crystal! Now you can start thinking about issues like what type of baby sling, backpack, stroller, etc. will work best when you are strolling around Rome, Paris, and your nearby parks .

Congratulations, Crystal (and significant other!)!!!
I agree, there is somewhat of a "family atmosphere" here at GFE and that's what makes it so special.
I know a few people who have been in a similar situation recently, and I've told them "your life will never be the same!". I mean that in a positive way though. Even with the "trials & tribulations of parenthood", I wouldn't have missed it for anything!
Hopefully Kim will see this Post, as I'm sure she'll have some tips to pass only.
Stay healthy!!!

crystal, that's fabulous news! Congratulations! Always nice to welcome a new member of "the family" (insert Don Corleone voice here) ;D
Maybe we should have a section on "Backpacking with Baby"!

Congrats, backpacking with a baby, now thats a book that doesnt exist im sure lol Well actualy (I know I am not ment to take this serious), there is a book in Dutch, that is called, Koters en Kokosnoten (Kids and Cocosnuts), that is about a family with two young children backpacking for a few months in South-East Asia. (as far as I know it's not translated) Friends of mine, took there (then) almost two years old for a month to Indonesia. (not the backpacking way, but never the less, quite an adventure). Kids are really flexible, and when you think of it: their world contain of new things every single day, so they won't be too surprised if the new thing of a day, is the Sagrada Familia, instead of a random Cathedral in the UK.
