Over the last month or so, I've noticed that the Boards have been much "quieter" than usual. Perhaps that's normal for this time of year (I can't recall whether it has been like this in past years?). Even some of our "regular regulars" have been conspicuous by their absence.
I suppose one could speculate that absence from the Boards means that lots of our members are now travelliing in Europe? If that's the case, happy and safe travels everyone!!!

I was in Spain for 10 days ... (Madrid and Andalusia). But unfortunalety I am back at base camp.
But probably next time I am leaving with only a one-way ticket. I am offered accomodation for 3 months, and I hope that will come through, that gives me time to find accomodation for a longer time and a job in Madrid.

herrbert, if your accomodation in Spain does work out, hopefully you'll still have time to get on the Boards here. Your Posts are always so informative!

I'm still here! Albeit spasmodically as work is taking up valueable GFE time at the moment!
I'd noticed that the Boards were pretty quiet, even with the usual queries - must be our shoulder season. ;D
I hope the Madrid plans work out herrbert, I know how much you miss it.

I'm here!!!! although to be honest not very much lately. We do go through a few quiet periods sometimes everyone must be having too much of a good time to remember to update us ;D I hope everyone that is travelling is having a great adventure and staying safe. I'm so jealous. I have no big plans for this summer - anyone else? We will probably hit a couple of last minute long weekends somewhere  . I wanna get in some more travelling before baby crystal arrives and I look like a beached whale squashed into a budget airplane seat. Hope Madrid works out for you Herrbert - keep us informed. |

i'm around but i just moved back to montreal (yay no more icky toronto)!  so things have been a little crazy getting my life organized. only trips i have planed is banff and jasper in early august |

Hey kids, I've been around monitoring. Been busy finishing up my travel plans (YAY!) and other things going on in real life. But yes, this is generally when things slow down...many people travelling! |

If that's the case, happy and safe travels everyone!!! left europe and live in auckland since january. i like the fact that all pubs and bars are smokefree, and everything is much cheaper here. on the other hand: they only recycle bottles and cans here and public transport is quite bad... sorry for not beeing here for a while, was quite busy |

Well, I'm busy with work and translation contracts, but i still come as often, just take less time to post Planning my Spain 3 week trip for next May. I know, far away, but without the dream I wouldn't make it oxox |

Jennifer, wait til herrbert sees you're going to Spain - let the suggestions flow! Hola! If suggestions are needed let me know. Spain in May is the perfect time to be there. My own moving to Spain plans have been halted at the moment. I had to make a decission too soon too rent a room (starting 1st of July), which is a little bit too soon. (as I have a two months notice too almost everything here in the Netherlands.) But when I do make it, later this year, early next year feel free to drop by for a cervaza o vino. |
