Heya kids, I'm finally in Europe! Can't stay long, someone is waiting to use the computer here at the hotel and is watching me. Yes, you to the left of me. Go away.
Anyway, adventure is just starting! Lots of pictures, victim of a pickpocket already (but all they got was a note that had a nasty saying in multiple languages...I plan ahead), and it's off to Venice soon! I'll post again when I can! Ciao!

Doug, that's not good about the pickpocket, but really good about the outcome! I used to leave used tissues in my pocket (icky I know, but it works) but I love the note - so much more effective and educational!

David, he must be having a REALLY good time, as he's completely forgotten about us!!! Maybe he was kidnapped by the guy to the left of him in the net cafe? In any case, my two "reminders" in June have gone unanswered!

afaik, on his trip, the last thing scheduled was a 1 week cruise with his folks from Barcelona starting July 1, per this: Barcelona (June 28 - July 1) - Kabul - Confirmed I need to be in Barcelona on July 1st, I'm meeting my parents there for a 1 week cruise then. ;D it seems peculiar that we've not heard from him since his return. I have him on my msn but haven't seen him poke in lately! as Doug himself once put it, "There's a joke there...but I'm keeping the board clean....."  - d |
