here's David again, with his weird music taste. a guy i know just pointed out this band's URL: www.polkaholix.de[seems they've gotten him to write liner notes for the new CD] the 4 tracks on the site make them sound like a fun band. if they're playing in a place any of you are visiting, it might be worth checking out. [some people have posted plans to see N. American bands over there touring. seems going to see European bands might be more enlightening]

They sound like it will be a party! I don't see a gig near to were I live, but if they will in the future, I will check them out. If you like this, then try some of these: www.myspace.com/haydamaky Haydamaky (Ukrainian polkapunk along the lines of Gogol Bordello) www.gipsyska.com/index.php Antwerp Gypsy Ska Ensemble. www.amsterdamklezmerband.nl/ Amsterdam Klezmer band. (for music, click on jukebox. a little different but very good: www.lashica.net/home.html Mix between Flamengo and Pop/slow hip hop (the definite answer from Madrid, to Ojos de Brujo, from Barcelona) It is always good to try to see a local band playing. In Berlin I've seen this one: www.myspace.com/kuzine That also was a party, as I walked into the CD launch party (without knowing it.)
