Well, it's too quiet around here Too many babies beeing taken care of hahaha Well, i'm totally awake : We just settled our dates for my Spain trip today. My vacation request has been signed and given to my boss. She saw it, read it, didn't say a thing about it and said she's get it signed by big boss. Which means if she says yes, chances are good! May 4th to May 27th! WOUHOU!

I hope you are right, because May really is the best time of year to visit Spain. You will have pleasant weather (maybe a few days that are really hot), and everything will still be green. (unlike going in September, with the same kind of weather, but all the plants are yellow/brownish because of the lack of water during summer).

my understanding is that the crossing from Gibraltar into Spain is now much easier.

Well, that can't hurt. Was it that hard before? Or you mean the transportation?

Back in the days of Franco (and for a while afterwards) the Spaniards were deliberately difficult with the border into Gibraltar - I've heard stories of incredibly long waits at the border.
Now it's not too bad. Taking a car across can still sometimes be problematic, but if you're crossing by foot it takes no time at all.

Ah, I see. Any tricks and tips? Park the car before the border, and be on the watchout for the runway of the airport in Gibraltar. (don't forget to look left-right-left for incoming airplanes )
