Is anyone aware of a credit card that does not have a % of purchase conversion fee each time you use it? I have an MBNA card that I thought would be great overseas and now I find out they charge 3% on every transaction! ppplleease help. thanks!

3% is fairly standard, i discovered last Spring to my great disappointment.
if you have access to fee free ATM w/d, using that & paying cash might be your best option. *might!*

Hate to say it.....but please do a search on this topic! We've had literally dozens of threads and discussions on this very topic..which resulted in a general consensus that American and Canadian banking systems are quite a bit different and it depends on where you live/what your bank is. There are banks out there that do not charge these fees....luckily I have one.....but you have to look for them and be sure of the details before deciding on an account. Search! There is a ton of info on this just waiting for you to read....then ask questions all you want!

I believe that Capital One is the only credit card that does not charge the 3%. I read it somewhere, just can't remember where to provide a reference.
