Hey everyone.
This spring/summer, I'm planning on going to Europe from the 19th of April to the 28th of August.
After all pre-travel expenses (plane, rail passes, etc) I plan to have a little over $10000 CAD saved up for the trip. Obviously I plan to travel slightly budget, but do you think this will be enough to cover most of my expenses, or will I not be eating for large portions of the trip? Thanks!

You have 132 days planned which works out to $75 CND a day. That's not tons but you should be OK. Just watch your funds - cook dinners at the hostel most nights, pack your lunch and that sort of thing. Watch the drinking as well, that can kill your budget.
Also some countries (Spain, Portugal, Eastern Europe) will be alot cheaper than others (Switzerland, UK) so limit your time in the expensive ones.
If you can sleep through most things, the bigger the dorm room you book, the cheaper it is. As in, if there is 16 other people in your room rather than 4, it will be cheaper.

CAD = Canadian dollars. Many of us think in those terms, because we live in Canada.

Earplugs also help. even if you just have one person with whom you're sharing - that person might snore, no? since i don't know about availability in Europe, i'd suggest bringing a package. with that long of a trip, maybe two. another way for differentiating between money, one that i find easier, just type CN$ or US$ before the number.
