I think Gimmelwald is the only small town I will be visiting, do you think there are ATMs there?

morgan23, I don't believe there are any ATM's in Gimmelwald. Your best bet is probably to estimate how much cash you're going to need and obtain this when you stop at Interlaken. There might be some ATM's in Grindelwald, but I'm not sure?

I haven't been there, but I read online that you can walk to Murren from Gimmelwald, and use the ATM there.

Yes, only Murren has an ATM, but it's a hefty walk. I mean, it's doable, but it's uphill, so you wouldn't be going every 5 minutes

yup yup, you have to climb to murren which is somewhat challenging but not too bad imho. I went up there 2/4 days I was there and it wasn't that bad really. You will get out of breath but look at it as your daily exercise!
