I'm curious... should I bother to buy the membership to Hostelling International? I mean, I don't have to be a member to stay at a hostel, right? And since I wouldn't be using the discounts like car rental, etc.. it seems kinda pointless. Am I missing something?

dont bother spending money on that card, just spent 3 months in europe and i think only 1 or 2 hostels were members, a lot of private hostels in europe, but its your choice
