Glen Court hotel is where we stayed-we got it out of a guidebook, either Lonely Planet or Let's Go-I can't remember.
It was run down but clean and central. It included a good breakfast as well. The people that worked there were very friendly so you didn't even notice it was shabby...
I'll look up some places for you in my Rough Guide when I get home (I'm at work right now) and will post them here for you. I'm assuming you are looking for a budget double, right?
Oh, contact info for Glen Court...

OK, this is what it lists in the 41-50 Euros per night section: (which is $58-$71 CND or $37-45 US) Marian Guesthouse21 Upper Gardiner St 874-4129 A clean, friendly place with a good breakfast and no exploitive prcie hikes or single supplements and peak times. The rooms are basic and the bathrooms shared, though this is reflected in the price. Highly recommended for those on a budget, esp. lone travellers who want a basic, clean private room, as the rooms here cost little more than a dorm bed nearby. In the Ballsbridge and Sandymount area (which is about 2 miles from the center in the suburbs) Mrs. M Bermingham8 Dromard Terrace, Sandymount 668-3861 This is a fine, traditional, family run guesthouse in a ivy-covered period house near the beach in Sandymount., which has no aspirations beyond offering comfortable, clean rooms, good breakfasts and a warm welcome. A good choice for either a single traveller or a family on a budget as there are child reductions; the owner also arranges babysitting. Closed Oct-April. There is also this one: www.clifdenhouse.comThe site lists prices starting at £25 per person per night. It does say 2001 rates though. Why don't you check out some of the doubles at hostels as well-these ones all have private rooms.
