hi again.....i thought i would ask the people who seem to have traveling down pat.... im going to london, and i dont really want to stay in a hostel, i did the hostel thing last time, and this time i actually have a little money to spend...so im trying to find a nice hotel, about a hundred a nite, in a good location.....ive found a good rate at the Art + Tech Cumberland Hotel, does anyone know anything about this hotel, ive heard mixed reviews....but anything known about this place, or any other recommendations would be great!! thanks!

Hi Emily, I can not suggest enough this place.....londonhometohome.com.....
I stay with them every time....it's a group of ladies (?) who have joined together to advertise their B&B's.....all private homes, in every area of the city, from quite reasonable to most extravagent! Anita, who runs it, is a delightful woman who is well versed at finding what will best fit your needs, purse, and personality.
So much better than a cold hotel I find....but to each their own....at least give them a look and see if anything appeals!

I think Ging's option is probably a cheaper one but thought I would tell you about a hotel as well. My best friend and her husband stayed in London last summer at the Holiday Inn Express. They booked it through a booking place to get a discount-here's the link: www.accomline.com/enter.asp?id=3546&ru=directhotel%2Easp%3Fid%3D132Anyway, she said it was great, clean, huge bathroom etc. She is extremely picky too (in a good way! ;D) so I would have no hesitant to recommend it! Oh, she said it was right close to a tube station as well, which is nice. A single is 65 pounds a night. Kim
