No, not the St. Christopher Camden. Camden is an area of town (I think). So therefore, the Camden Hostel is an independent hostel of the St. Christopher hostel, they just happen to be in the same area.
If you click on the link from the original post, you'll see the hostel I'm talking about. It's seperate from the chains, but seems nice. But with a price tag that low, I wanted to find out if anyone had stayed there.
Also, if anyone knows anything about "Camden Town" in general it would be a help. How to get there from Heathrow Airport, how accessable the rest of London? Will be helpful if deciding whether to stay there...
Thanks for your help, looking forward to hearing back from you, b/c we're getting anxious to start booking ;D

Oooh OK... found you some reviews on another site for it: www.bugeurope.com/reviews/England/London/North_London/uken100/index.htmOn this site, it has 3 not so great reviews and one 5 star-which makes me suspicious, often hostel owners try to review their own site. Anyway, check out the reviews.. Camden is really easy to get to, the tube will take you there. There is a tube that goes right from the airport and there diagrams that show you which one you need, it's very easy. Very accessible for the rest of London. Great market there on the weekends, it's huge. Kim

One more 5-stars review was just added... a very strange mixture of reviews... The last review is very detailed and count all the highs and lows... there seem to be more of the latter... You don't expect a top-end hostel at this price, do you?

I find it weird how the 5 star reviews both mention names too.. they both even spell Angelika the same. Seems odd to me-I'm thinking that owners are submitting reviews.

Yeah, I thought that was a bit odd too. Especially since there wasn't much consistancy to the reviews. No, I don't expect to get a top-end hostel for that price, I just saw it so I thought I'd see what everyone here thought. I know people have been really great about giving advice for places to stay in London but I still seem to be lost. We're traveling to 7 cities and I have all of our hostels/hotels picked out but London, and that's where we're going first I just honestly don't know what to do! People have been great about recommending places, then it ends up being full or their price has doubled. All I want is a clean place that won't be too hard to tour from, is that so much to ask? I was hoping to stay between 20-25 USD per night so maybe that is too much to ask. I don't know, I'm just tired of looking at places that seem OK only to have it not work out. I'm ready to be done booking places to stay and start looking into what to do each day. I saw this supposedly 3 star hotel for 27USD per night per person. www.travelstay.com/accdetail.asp?id=860We'd really rather stay in a hostel but can't seem to find a clean one that's available for 5 nights (June 2-7). Any other suggestions for a place for two fun-loving (but clean) girls?

Actually, we're booked at the Piccadilly Hotel for June 2-7 --- based on Kim (and others') suggestions ;D We're actually starting in London, after that we're travelling up to Aberdeen, Scotland to visit friends, then traveling on to Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice) before hitting the Mountain Hostel in Gimmenwald, Switzerland (again - recommended highly by all our friends on this board). We'll finish up by visiting friends in the south of France, then move on to Paris, where we fly out on July 3 If you have any leads on other places to stay or things to see in any of the places we're visiting, let me know - I'm new at this Sounds like you'll have tons of stories to tell by the time you get to London, if you want to meet up, give us a shout - we'd love to say hi! It's Nicole and Cheryl - traveling from the states as well ;D
