Just got an email about a new hostel in Copenhagen if anyone is looking for cheap accommodation. Unsure if it's any good or not, it's in a heritage warehouse. Here is the English site: HOSTEL CPH LUFTMADRASSEN www.luftkastellet.dk/?id=340Kim

It's always good to have more options, but this is rather pricy for a Copenhagen hostel. This is 200 kr (30 Euros per night) although that includes linens and breakfast (but not towels). I telephoned and they said the price is 225 kr during the summer. The Hostelling International ones are 95 kroner per night, although it is 40 kr extra for sheets (one set per stay) and 45 kr each morning for breakfast. So for a one-day stay, where you had to pay for sheets, Luftmadrassen is not that much more than HI. For a longer stay, HI hostels are cheaper by far. Other hostels are 14 or 15 Euros, plus a similar amount for sheets. The location and the description look like they might be good for people wanting a constant rave

I've been told this is really a most excellent central location, and it would be a good idea to consider this hostel. I telephoned them and they said it would be no problem for me and my 16-year-old son to stay there (I thought they might have an age limit). So ... we'll see.
