www.hotelformule1.comI just saw these today. I think they could be a good budget option in many cases. As far as I can tell, the European version at least has bathrooms in the corridor, and a sink, mirror, and TV in the room. Each room has 1 double bed and 1 single bed. As an example of the price, the Malmo, Sweden Formule 1 hotel has a total cost that works out to $37 US - and yes, the price is per room, not per person. It's 1.5 km from the train station. Most often, though, the locations are more remote. They are in eight European countries, Australia, South Africa, Brazil, and Japan.

Yeah, have heard of these hotels as well - supposed to be very reasonable. No personality but you gotta give somewhere I guess! Anybody out there stayed at a Formule 1? Kim

I've stayed with them a few times. Ugly houses, but very functional. Toilets and showers in the corridors. Locations are often in the outskirts of the city, reachable only by car. Don't know about the hotel in Malmö, but I've stayed in their hotel in Gothenburg, where there was frequent and fast bus services to downtown just a few steps outside the hotel.
