The aquarium in Genoa is fantastic. The tanks are flat glass so you can walk right up to them, so it is almost like being right in the tank with them. They also have, for some reason I cannot understand, a hummingbird house (in an aquarium?), but it was very nice, also.
Genoa itself is a more industralized city, like Cleveland in the States.
Hotel in Ljubljana was rather expensive (40 euros-ouch), but all the hostels are only open in the summer. They do put on a very large buffet breakfast (included).
I just ran into a girl I stayed with in the hostel in Rome. Keep running into people all over Europe.
Not many Americans here, in fact I think I am the only one.
