I was just wondering where anyone stayed in Venice. We're looking at a hostel...possibly Allogi La Gondola. Anyone ever stayed there or heard anything about it?? Any reccomendations??

i stayed here last year: www.santafosca.combut, the reservations left much to be desired. didn't call the day i'd meant to and was only able to stay 1 night. so, spent extra nights at the awful place i had in Cinqua Terra. [i'd bought tix for a night train from Venice to Budapest as soon as i got to italy] good luck with finding a place! - d |

Are there going to be two of you? Check out Foresteria Valdese. It's been highly recommended, but I haven't been there. They also have a weird reservation system, although I think it goes smoothly if you choose a double private room (56 Euros). But if you're a romantic heterosexual couple, I think they want you to be married. Check out Albergo San Samuele. www.albergosansamuele.it/ I hadn't heard of the place you mention, but it looks quite convenient. |
