Hi! I am going on a 2 month backpacking trip to Europe (Germany) in September. It is normally not to hot around that time so I am less worried about swetting and stinking, but since it will be colder, i'll be wearing thicker clothes. I know this sounds ridiculous, but i've heard of all sorts of ways to make your clothes smell better, I am just not sure which one really works. It's hard to have clean clothes with dirty clothes in the same bag without them sharing the smell... What do you people do to prevent that?

I had a little bag of potpourri in my pack, buried way in the bottom....and also began with a couple of dryer sheets. But honestly, that smell was so intense I dumped them soon enough. ;D Truthfully though, I normally travel in the winter, keep my 'undies and socks' washed very often and do the laundry thing frequently. Was not a problem for me...or maybe I just don't have an overly sensitive nose?

Thanks for the reply, Actually, I really don't like Bounce sheets' smell, it's too intense and you smell like you fell out of the wash. Pot pourri is a good idea. but it stains, I don't know if it has happened to someone, but if you use it, put it in a bag so it doesn't directly touch anything, but make holes so the smell gets out. Has any of you used anything else? It's really hard finding the perfect smell you want to me sniffing all the time for 2 months! xoxo HelP!

Keep the dirty clothes out of the same enclosure as the clean ones while you are out for the day. When you pack up, make sure the dirty clothes are in plastic bags. You can put the clean clothes in plastic too, with some soap bars.
Pack several small bars of soap with a mild odor, like you get from hotels and place it in several spots in your pack.
