Hey me and four of my friends decided that we are going to visit Gimmewald we hope to be there for May 27,28,29. How far ahead of time should we book? I tried now but the hostel said they do not take reservations that far in advance.

hmm, i went around that time and had to problem getting a room writing to them like 2 days before i arrived. BTW i don't know how it is now but at the time you could only reserve through e-mail. Have a blast and don't get scared by the moo song in the morning

Ah the moooo song! Traumatizing although I wrote home about it I just love Gimmelwald. I know, I know, Gimmelwald is to Jen what Florence is to Ging! I wrote an email to them a couple weeks ahead saying i'd be there *about* these dates and said I'd confirm later. It was in October, so not the heavy season, I had the room allll to myself on 3 out of 4 nghts. But I wrote back 2 days before and gave my date of arrival. I guess it just depends on when you are going and the high or low season!

I join you in your love of gimmelwald jenn, it was certainly wonderful, I even sprained my ankle but that didn't deter me at all. Walter and Petra are great people!

That's odd...my boyfriend and I emailed a few weeks ago and had no trouble booking with them for Mid-June. Maybe because we booked the "honeymoon suite" though.
