Hostels are obvious, but you also have several other options if you want cheaper private accommodation. EasyHotel is possible. Priceline if you have two people and want to spend just a bit more. Student accommodation is good during the times of year it is available. But I was surprised to read about yet another option. You get a tiny private room for 18 pounds, with shared facilities, and you have to abide by a short list of Buddhist rules. www.jamyang.co.uk/accommodation.htmlIt's well into south London, but it's near the Kennington and Elephant & Castle tube stops, so not too bad.

My goodness! An endless source of info, you are...
Though it sounds intimidating... and well, foreign to me... I think this may be something I'll look into. It could be an excellent place to stay towards the end of my trip... to reflect on everything I've learned. Thanks for bringing it up!!

Here's another option for accomodation in England, one which doesn't have such strict rules. Check out www.yotel.com for further information. It's more expensive but offers the flexibility of 4-hour bookings, and having accomodation right at the two major airports is a good idea. It appears that FREE Wi-Fi and Internet is provided, which is a nice touch! Happy travels!!!
