don't know any of them. but, they seem a little expensive! that Bratislava hostel, at CN$67, seems especially so.

By the way, it's the price for 2 people. And yes, Eger is expensive cause it's a small city with no hostels. At least none that have email adresses, so we splurged, and I mean, it's not that big of a splurge. For Bratislava, hostels are expensive or have no double rooms. Next to that, this is the cheapest we found. And considering that for 15 days for 2 people in double rooms it will cost us each only an average of 16$ canadian, i think it's not that bad...so we decided it was ok. But do you really think it's too much? If you have suggestions, i'm up for them

googled: eger hostel there are some listings. one, sans breakfast, came to HUF3500 pp. no email, but they list phone numbers. [can you use dial arounds in Canada?] Bratislava even has an HI, as well as private hostels. check www.hostelz.com/Eger Hotel Minaret air cond. / Tv / phone / shower / buffet breakfast / king size 10000 HUF = 54 $ Can

HI David! Well, yes, I know about a Eger hostel, but it told me it had no double rooms left And for Bratislava, it has no double rooms either There are many private hostels, but they are all the same price or more than what we have, basically, either they are reserved for I don't know what reason, or they are totally out of town, or they are more expensive than what I found... Anyways, I don't know if we did get the best, if you know about some that do have doubles, let me know

Yep, we do like our friends at Wombats here around GFE! In regards to Hostel V Podzamci, it's in most of the guidebooks and seems to get good reviews. We tried to reserve there but couldn't get a hold of anyone. From what I've heard, it sounds like a safe choice.

David, I didn't mean it that way! Good to know Kim that it's a good choice, I hope so! I'll make sure to take pictures and post reviews when I get back, but I noticed that there is only Czech Republic of Eastern Europe for reviews! xoxo Jen
