Hi,
Again I'd like to ask if anyone has been in this place, seems there are very few reviews we could find about this place. We were initially attracted to the idea of being near a beach, and hotel website says the Acropolis is just a bus ride away..
hoping somebody could shed some light and give me some feedbacks as well as ideas on places to stay in Athens..
Thanks!!

Galini looks to be just past an area of Athens called Glyfada (pronounced Glu-fatha) which is on the beach. It's in a residential (the 'burbs) area just past the old (and now domestic) airport, not the new international one. There are a few clubs/discos on the beach during Summer at Glyfada. The reason they say the Acropolis is "only a bus ride away" is because it is....about 45-60mins in regular traffic on the public bus! I haven't stayed at this hotel, stayed at one at Glyfada, but it looks to be your standard Greek hotel (won't be a shower curtain!), basic but nice enough. It's not central in terms of Athens, but it depends on what you're looking to do (Metro/walk to places or stay at the beach) and where you want to be. Have a look at the GFE recommendations for hostels/hotels and see if that helps you a little more. www.guideforeurope.com/greecehostels.html. I'd recommend trying to find one a little closer to the centre (Plaka area would be great) if you want to see the city.
