Hey, me and a group of friends are leaving for europe on the 18th of june and I had a question about the hostels. I have already booked hostels in berlin, prague, rome, barcelona, madrid, and amsterdam. I was wondering if I need to book a hostel for venice, florence, paris, and/or munich. I was wondering if we could wing it on those cities and be fine, because we want to be able to be flexible some with our travels (we are going only for one month). Can someone help me out? Thanks.

Hi there! Well, personally id book at least a week in advance, considering these are the summer months and so many european students will have off too, so they fill up really fast and the cities you choose are highly visited! Munich, id check it out immediately because of the fußball WM there are people everywhere in Germany, trust me, im there and its hell and it started yesterday hehehe

For the month you are traveling, your stops in Italy will most assuredly benefit from pre-booking! Even cheap, 'hourly' hotels fill up in the summer, let alone hostels.
have a good trip!

Just to complete Jennifer ... the Football WorldCup is from 9th of june till the 9th of July. If you want to stay in Germany, esp. in de cities where the matches are played, be sure to book a.s.a.p.
I always like to book upfront, you lose on flexibility, but it's easier on the mind, not to have to care for it, while being on the road.
