Hi

I will be staying in Frankfurt for one day (one night) in August. I would like a hotel that is convinient to get to and from the airport. Does anyone have any recommendations? I am looking for a budget or inexpensive hotel. It would be nice to be able to walk around, explore a bit, and to go to a restaurant near by. Also... are there any must see sights?

as i recall, we stayed at a hotel across from Mainz train station to catch an a.m. flight. [Mainz & Wiesbaden are actually closer to the airport, as i recall] but this was decades ago. i haven't flown via Frankfurt for a while, 1990 was the last time.

On the Fodor's (or was it Frommer's?) website, there was a recommendation for Intercity Hotel Frankfurt, accross from the main train station.

Price was right (65 euros), so I made a reservation. I hope it works out!
