How soon can you book hostel accomodations for May 2007? When's the best time to start reserving rooms because I'd like to be able to reserve everything ahead of time and at a reasonable rate (sadly May is considered to be the start of the high season in some countries...).
Suggestions/answers? ;D

I have found that Hostelworld.com often does not show availability months in advance. Unless you are going to be there at the time of a special festival, it's probably not necessary to reserve *this* far in advance. However, if you know the hostels you want to stay at, you could contact them directly and see if you can book.

If you would like to stay at the Beehive in Rome, than take into account that they are really popular. So it would be best to make reservations really soon. But I also read (in a post from WillTravel) that they only take reservations 2 months upfront. But I can't find it on there website (or I am reading the wrong pages)

I've heard a lot of good things about that place and it's one of the hostels on our list for our stay in Rome. I think I'll take your word and try to book them in advance (2 months if possible). I'll be going through final exams in April (I'm in my last year of university) and it'd be really stressful if I tried to book everything while studying at the same time! |
