I've always had the luxury of staying with friends, so I've only had to stay in two different hostels ever. But I've seen/been in a lot...and I have never seen one that even comes close to the Circus in Berlin. I stayed there for almost a week, and I cannot think of a single negative thing about it. I don't remember what it cost, but if it's in your budget, I'd recommend that one for Berlin.

Thanks for the info on that hostel. I looked it up and it looks really good. It's a little out of my price range but not really haha! Thanks!

The only that is even better than the Circus, (as unlikely as it seems) is a hostal in Stockholm. www.fridhemsplan.se/main.asp?lang=eng, but you notice in the price. You'll find a lot of reviews here: www.guideforeurope.com/europe_hostel_reviews.html
