Hi everyone I hope you all had a good christmas and new year!!

Sorry about the topic I know it has been done to death and I've read heaps on this website about the hostels we are going to stay in but am still stuck on a few:

Geneva -
Barcelona -
Prague -
Budapest -
Zagreb -
Dubrovnik -
Venice -

One of my friends went to Venice during the summer. I'm not sure when you're planning to go but I know she stayed at Nuova Locanda Belvedere (had to dig out an old email of hers to get the name!).

Anyways, looking up on that hostel on hostelbookers.com, here are the prices (I used dates in March 2007):

Dorm (4-bed): 20 EUR
Private Twin Ensuite: 30 EUR (per person)
Private Double Ensuite: 30 EUR (per person)

She said it was really close to the train station and that there was a bus to the center of town all the time from the hostel. Well, I should really say it's a "budget hotel" but whatever....

She also stayed in Prague as well. I didn't catch the name of her hostel/hotel but I've heard that this hostel comes fully recommended. Besides, I'm sure you can find an extremely cheap hostel in Prague because it's known to have cheap rooms.

hostelworld.com is the best ive seen, I just got back the other day from doing 3.5 weeks.

Im a college student and was looking for fun places for the most part they were all great

Barcelona, Kabul hostel - this place was awesome in a great location great atmosphere, one of the best places i stayed all trip

Prauge, I stayed at Miss Sophies, it was ok, nice clean, but not a super fun place to meet people


PS you must be from austrilia, "heaps", i met so many austrilians and I picked up alot of the lingo.

Dubrovnik - ditto
Venice - Ostello Santa Fosca, www.santafosca.com/ beware the funky reservations at this place.
