Just wondering if any of you have any good recommendations for hotels/b&b’s in the following cities:
Amsterdam Florence Prague
It seems like a lot of the places in Amsterdam are booked up (I'm traveling early March). The only one that I've found so far that has availability is Hotel Aspen. Has anyone stayed there?
I'm on a budget- nothing over US$100.
Thanks!!

See what you can get on the Best Western site for Amsterdam - I found that for our August stay, I can get a double room at the Best Western Eden for 67 Euros per night prepaid, and it is super-central (I've stayed there before). There are other Best Westerns that would work too. That's not the only option, but if it works, it would be good. www.bestwestern.com/Florence - I stayed in a convent - www.fmmfirenze.it/ - a room without a private bathroom is now about 45 Euros. If you want a private bathroom, I think it's 60 Euros. Prague - I haven't been there, but there are numerous options that might work.

To add to WT's suggestions (Best Western is a good choice for A'dam btw): Florence: Hotel Bigallo en.venere.com/hotels_florence/duomo/hotel_bigallo.html?sd=22&sm=05&sy=2006&ed=23&em=05&ey=2006&pval=2&rval=1& ref=23896 Hotel Mediterraneo www.venere.com/hotel/index.php?htid=3914&ref=23896Albergo Firenze Florence (right in the centre of town), Hotel Della Nazioni (just across from the train station), Viva Hotel Capitol (behind Santa Croce church on other side of town to station, but still good location), Hotel President (not in the centre of town, rooms are basic, but top floor has great views of city and busses run into centre regularly or you can stroll for 15-20mins and get there), Hotel San Lorenzo (10min walk to city centre). B&Bs are: Leonardo House Hostel (dorm room) Luna Rossa Gusthouse Pensione Canada (like a B&B) Hotel Ghibellina (budget hotel, good location) Hotel Fiorita (budget hotel near station, pretty courtyard, security gate and friendly dog!) Florence Room B&B (good location). Over the river near Santo Spirito are places like Soggiorno Pitti (good value hotel) or Hotel Vecchia Firenze (budget hotel). Prague: try the www.accor.com hotels like Ibis and Mercure as they often have properties in the centre of the city (eg Prague has an Ibis Old Town Hotel. Or ask BigRay for some suggestions

Thank you guys for all of the great reccomendations!!
I will look into those and see what happens. I've been running into problems with hotels being completely booked. I thought I was traveling off-season, but I guess it doesn/t matter?

Many more good-value places are booked well ahead now, particularly in very popular cities like you've chosen. There are more and more people traveling (think of all the people with increasing incomes from eastern Europe, Russia, India, China, Mexico, etc.) in Europe who are all going to the same places. Try these for relatively late bookings: www.laterooms.comwww.ratestogo.comwww.lastminute.com
